Accent Marks

Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms describe the use of AccentMarks.org as a free reference and copy/paste utility. The service provides character information and typing guidance without accounts, paid subscriptions, or purchases.

Using the reference tools

You may browse the reference pages and copy individual characters into your own writing, documents, or code. Copying a character is the intended purpose of the controls. Check the character and its appearance in your destination application, especially when fonts or text handling affect the result.

The Privacy Policy explains local search and clipboard behavior. Using an external reference takes you to a separate service with its own terms.

Reference accuracy and scope

We use primary standards and official platform documentation where practical, but errors or changes in external standards and documentation may occur. The reference is not a promise of perfect accuracy or compatibility with every application.

Typing guides state the environment they cover. An instruction verified for one application or keyboard may not apply elsewhere. Unicode code points, HTML references, and keyboard input methods serve different purposes; a displayed value should not be assumed to work as an input command.

Consult the cited primary source when a distinction is important to your work. Sources and methodology explains what is generated, what is curated, and how verification is scoped.

Acceptable use

Use the site without interfering with access for others. Do not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or send automated requests at a volume that disrupts the service. Do not present altered copies of the site or its guidance as official AccentMarks.org content.

External sources and attribution

Links to standards and platform documentation support the reference material. AccentMarks.org does not control those external pages, their availability, or later revisions. A citation does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Third-party standards, documentation, and trademarks remain subject to their respective owners' rights and terms. AccentMarks.org does not claim ownership of them. The ability to copy an individual character does not grant permission to republish third-party documentation or imply a license to all site prose and design. Check the relevant source's terms before reusing its material.

Changes to the site and these terms

Content, tools, and available pages may change as information is corrected or the site develops. Continuous availability and unchanged functionality are not guaranteed. Updates to these terms will appear on this page with a revised date.
